Fukuko Harris was born and raised in Tokyo. She earned her MFA from The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, a BA at Marymount College and an AAS from Parsons School of Design.
Her recent solo and two persons shows were in 2020 and 2018 at Marquee Project Gallery, in Bellport, NY. She has participated in numerous shows such as Salon Zürcher, New York, NY; The Painting Center, New York, NY; High Noon Gallery, New York, NY; Pelham Art Center, Pelham, NY; Ely Center of Contemporary Art, New Haven, CT; The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art, Las Vegas, NV; Visual and Performing Arts Center at Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT; Cross Gallery, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.
Harris has participated in summer program of Parsons School of Design in Paris and Dordogne, France. Later, she joined artist residency, La Porte Peinte, in Noyer, Burgundy France. She won prestigious awards, including the New York Studio School's Hohenberg Travel Grant. Her works are featured in many private collections, as well as in the permanent collection of The Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts. Harris currently lives and works in New York City and Montauk, NY.
